A charming house from 1875 ...

Here is where you stay. It was originally a butcher’s shop and the village café of Saint Bérain. In the fireplace of the living room were always smoked sausages, and where the kitchen is now was formerly the butcher’s counter. Around the house there is a garden, a terrace with a magnificent view over the valley of the Gorges d'Allier and the small village. In addition, there is a sun terrace with a small swimming pool and hot tub. With its basalt walls, the house is built in the typical robust style of the Auvergne. It was completely renovated in 2011. Four comfortable

guest rooms were created, each with a private bathroom. The rooms are tastefully decorated and you will feel completely at home as a guest. The rooms feature comfortable beds and all have an internet connection (WiFi).

The presbytery

The old presbytery next to the church of Saint Bérain is our studio.
You can work here, both outside and inside. The outside studio has a beautiful view of the church and the gorges. In warm weather, you can work in the shade under the canopy. The workshop inside is primarily intended to operate in less desireable weather. In the presbytery outside the studio there are three guest rooms with a shared bathroom and a reading room with art books. These rooms are only bookable with a course.

Lunch and dinner are usually in the garden
